Whenever my mother goes to bed, and saw her laying down, she always covers her face. Because when she’s already sleeping i would kiss her in the cheek and that would wake her up and she gets mad and kick me in the feet. Nakasanayan ko na talaga eh, so kahit sinasaktan niya ako, ini-insists ko paden. And i will not go to sleep pag di ko siya na kikiss sa cheek. HAHAHAHA kulit na bata ako eh. ❤💋 Happy Mother’s Day ma! 60 and she still rocks!

Saturday (May 11), 2:15pm, My sister departed. She is an OFW at Saudi Arabia. As she say her goodbyes to us, tears falls down in our eyes, in my eyes and in my mother’s eyes. I have never seen my mother cry like this. While she’s talking, her tears falls down in her face without hesitation. without the fear of being judge because she cries like a baby. She looks so vulnerable. In the past years, i’ve only seen my mom cry 5-6 times only, her 60th birthday where we surprise her with her siblings. when i graduated in college at PICC, Last 2011 Christmas and New Year while fireworks are in the mid air and 2012 Christmas and New Year when she realize that 2 of her daughters are not with her to celebrate this special event, and when my second sister decided to leave home just to be with her boyfriend.

But her emotions here is different. She never cried like this before. she didn’t even cried like this when my dad went abroad.

i never realized how they do it. how mothers handled all the pain by themselves. especially like my mom who didn’t have her partner here with her for 31 years. how did she manage to get through all this physically and emotionally?

my mom entered my room, crying. all red in her face like she was crying before she enters my room. “Your sister don’t wanna leave anymore. her heart is heavy.” mom said while crying. “then don’t let her go! if she has a heavy heart, then she is not gonna be safe in her flight!” i said steadfastly.

So i dialed the phone and mom called immediately

“Don’t go, come back here, we will get through this anak, i’m sure. just don’t leave. you’ll be safer here, with me.”

“Okay ma, i’m on my way now..”

it is very hard for mothers to let go of her kids. more than kids to let go of her mothers. mothers wants the best for their kids, that’s why some of them go abroad and look for a job. leaving their kids behind with no mother to hold onto..

in times of need, their is one person we can count on to, a person who will not give us up even if we have done and say such horrible things to her. a person who will love you unconditionally even if you choose to stay with other men. who will protect you from other people just to know that you’re safe here, with her. That person is your Mom.

My mom is here even though i said and done horrible things to her, my mom is here even though my sisters chose to be with some dudes who doesn’t respect them and hurts them. and my mom protects us to people even though it will hurt her reputation to all the people as long as she knows that her child is here, safe.

Love your mom, she loved you from the beginning and she will love you until the end.

my mom is not just a mother, she’s a superhero in disguise. Happy Mothers Day! <3
